The Grinch Christmas Snowball Dog Treats

dog christmas cookies

I am always looking for ways to include my fur babies in the holiday festivities. Unfortunately, since one of them suffers from pancreatitis this can be pretty difficult to do with food as my options can seem to be quite limited. However, with these Grinch Christmas snowball dog treats he will be able to join in the festivities this year!

The Grinch Christmas Snowball Dog Treats

This low fat treat is bound to be a hit with your pup this Christmas!

  • ½ cup cooked rice
  • ½ cup fresh peas
  • 1 egg white
  1. Once the rice is cooked, you may also boil the peas to make them easier to mash

    2. Mix all ingredients together then blend until it is a thick pureed consistency

    3. Roll the mixture into small or medium sized balls

    4. Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 45 minutes

    5. let cool for 10-15 minutes

    6. let your fur baby enjoy

We recommend that you consult with your veterinarian prior to feeding treats

Refrain from using canned or frozen peas.  Canned peas tends to have a lot of extra preservatives and salt.  If you choose to use frozen peas make sure to wash and soak them in water to remove any added salt.  It is always best to use fresh peas.
