4 Common reasons dogs get diarrhea
- If there is blood in your dog’s diarrhea there are several reasons this could occur, if you have an unvaccinated puppy it could be a virus such as parvovirus or they could have eaten something they should not have. If you have an older vaccinated dog it could be colitis or a foreign body.
- Worms: endoparasites can cause diarrhea in dogs
- Stress: if your dog is anxious or stressed they can get diarrhea
- Eating something they should not have: If your dog recently got into the garbage or you switched their food too fast this can cause diarrhea
